Madjid Faradji, the musician
The oriental Persian music reflects this breathtaking sensitivity of intense longing, love and dream attached to Persian nature and people. Influences of Kurds, Turks, Arabs, from India and from Africa enrich the sound with rhythm and melodies.
Madjid calls his music ’ros’, due to Iranian towns like Shiraz and others, where the smell of roses is in all streets at flowering time.
Madjid slips his own songs in his broad repertoire and he is a master of free improvi-sation. Very special at Madjids music is the combination of traditional and modern elements, vocals in Persian and played on various instruments.
Madjids place is on stage, with his charming, expressive voice and exciting music he fills the audience with enthusiasm and inspires to dance.
